Profile. A green magician who fascinates the world
He has won a total of 11 gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show in England, the oldest and most prestigious flower show in the world. Kazuyuki Ishihara has been praised as a "green magician" by Queen Elizabeth II. He has created numerous works of art with his world-renowned richness in design and reliable construction techniques.
Garden designer Kazuyuki Ishihara was introduced to Ikenobo, the root of ikebana, at the age of 22. At that time, he was captivated by the "beautiful landscape created by just three branches. Since then, he has been fascinated by flowers and greenery, and began selling them on the street, then in stores, and then creating gardens. Since then, his unique view of the world with his moss garden has been highly acclaimed at the Chelsea Flower Show in England, the pinnacle of international gardening shows, and he has won a total of 11 gold medals from 2006 to 2019. We have won the double award with the Best Garden Award, which is given to the first place in the category, six times, and in the 2016 competition, among others, we received the President's Award, the highest award for exhibitors.
In recent years, he has been working on pine bonsai for gardens as a landscape bonsai brand, and his activities are gaining more and more attention as he continues to receive offers from collectors both in Japan and abroad. We have reproduced the award-winning "Paradise of Flowers" in the UK at Haneda Airport (Terminal 1 Building), the gateway to Japan, and continue to create the beauty of Japanese landscapes in Onagawa, a disaster-stricken area in Tohoku, as well as in other parts of Japan. Worked on the tsuboniwa garden at Nihondaira Yume Terrace
Created a tsuboniwa garden for the Nihondaira Yume Terrace, an observation deck at the top of Nihondaira Mountain in Kusanagi, Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
